- You upload your resume and job posting. We use them to generate your playbook. That's it.
- We do not sell your data. We do not share it with recruiters, employers, or third parties.
- Your employer will not be notified. Nothing we do will signal that you're job hunting.
- Your resume and job posting are deleted 90 days after submission.
- Order records are retained for 12 months for support purposes, then deleted.
- You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.
1. Who We Are
Interview101 ("we," "us," "our") is an interview preparation service that generates personalized Interview Playbooks for candidates applying to positions at top technology companies. We operate at interview101.com.

2. What Data We Collect
We collect only what we need to deliver your playbook:
- Email address — to deliver your fit score and playbook, and to contact you about your order.
- Resume (PDF) — to extract your work experience, skills, and background for playbook generation.
- Job description (text) — to understand the role you're targeting and calibrate your playbook to that specific position.
- Target company and role — to select the correct interview framework and question data for your playbook.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
We do not collect your name, phone number, LinkedIn profile, or any information beyond what is listed above.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to generate and deliver your Interview Playbook. Specifically:
- Your resume and job posting are processed to extract relevant experience and match it against our interview framework data.
- Your email is used to deliver your fit score, your playbook, and any order-related communications.
- Anonymized, aggregated data (not linked to you) may be used to improve our interview framework models.
We do not use your data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the service you requested.
4. What We Never Do
- We never sell your data to any third party.
- We never share your resume, job posting, or personal information with recruiters, employers, or hiring platforms.
- We never notify your current employer or any other party that you have used our service.
- We never use your data to train publicly accessible AI models.
5. Data Retention
We hold your data for the minimum time necessary:
- Resume and job posting text — deleted 90 days after submission.
- Order records (email, company, role, playbook output) — retained for 12 months for support purposes, then deleted.
- Email address — retained until you request deletion.
To request immediate deletion of your data, email hello@interview101.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will confirm deletion within 5 business days.
6. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of third-party services to operate:
- Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's privacy policy.
- Supabase — secure database hosting for order and submission records.
- Resend — transactional email delivery (fit score and playbook delivery).
- Anthropic — AI model used to generate playbook content from your resume and job posting.
All third-party services are bound by data processing agreements and are prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than providing their service to us.
7. Security
Your data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in encrypted databases. Access to submission data is restricted to automated processing systems and, in limited cases, authorized personnel for quality review of playbooks before delivery.
We take the sensitivity of resume data seriously. Job searches are private. We treat your data accordingly.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data at any time.
- Withdraw consent for data processing (note: this may prevent us from delivering your playbook).

9. Cookies
We use only essential session cookies required for the service to function (form state, session tokens). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics that profile your behavior across the web.
10. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify active users by email where appropriate. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
